It has a heavy duty interior and exterior, and a galvanized steel top and back. Insulation comes from 2.5 inch of polyurethane foam. The refrigeration, which uses R-134A refrigerant, is self-contained and found on the top of the unit. The air defrost can be operated on an adjustable time schedule of anywhere between 3 and 12 hours apart. It’s both time and temperature terminated, in order to be fail-safe. The self-closing door is also insulated, and has recessed handles and rounded corners. A door frame heater thwarts the build-up of condensation. A snap-in magnetic gasket can be removed for replacement very simply. The door is lockable and field reversible, so it can be made as convenient and secure as it can be in your busy kitchen. Three epoxy coated wire shelves come standard with the freezer. The interior lighting is safety-shielded. The temperature range of -10 to 32F can be checked quite easily with the digital display. It’s set and adjusted using push buttons and a microchip has been added to the freezer to monitor its accuracy. The unit rests on 4 inch casters. the front two of which have locking brakes.
