Coldwall Drop-in Refrigerated Cold Display Units are built of corrosion-resistant stainless steel to Alto-Shaam’s high standards. Insulation comes from foamed in polyurethane which is CFC-free. Using R-404A refrigerant is one means of making this well an environmentally friendly product. Five full size deep pans will fit perfectly into this well, or you could use a combination of standard size pans. Support for the suspended pans comes from recessed ledges, which uphold the ends, and 6 divider bars, which uphold the sides. There’s a drain with a gate valve and coved corners to be found in the interior. The temperature is kept below 41F by the use of a thermostatic control. Because the compressor’s remote, any heat it generates in operation is expelled away from the area of your cold well. Placing the condenser on a swivel was an ingenious idea because it allows for mounting it on any side of the well.
